Martinsburg VAMC Announces Federal Woman of the Year Winners

Martinsburg , WV — The Martinsburg VA Medical Center (VAMC) recently recognized the contributions and achievements of the women on its workforce with its second annual Federal Woman of the Year Award.

Over 30 female employees were nominated for one or more of the five categories, and the winners spanned a wide range of professions at the medical center.

On behalf of the medical center’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office, this award was bestowed to five winners over various categories: Lisa Longley, Registered Nurse and ICU Nurse Manager, Difference Maker; Natalia Santini, Registered Nurse, Diversity and Inclusiveness; Kimberly Taylor, Registered Nurse and OR Nurse Manager, Inspiration; Latasha Booth, Surgical Service Lead Medical Support Assistant, Woman to Watch; and Susan Maditz, Registered Nurse and Wound & Ostomy Nurse, Game Changer.

“This award serves as a way to salute those women who contribute to safe, quality Veteran health care through their profession,” says Craig Perkins, EEO Manager. “As a high reliability organization, it is important to us that we recognize these women for their on-the-job excellence and dedication.”
