PACT Act Outreach Event Serves Anne Arundel County Veterans

PACT Act

More than 120 Veterans attended our latest PACT Act community outreach event, held this time in Anne Arundel County.

These events offer Veterans the opportunity to learn about the PACT Act and toxic exposure screenings, enroll for VA health care, file a claim, and speak with representatives from the VA Maryland Health Care System, the Vet Center, the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs, and local county and community organizations.

The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. There’s no deadline to apply for PACT Act benefits, but we encourage Veterans to file PACT Act claims by August 9, 2023 to meet the deadline to receive benefits backdated to August 10, 2022 (the date the law went into effect).
