Connect to your VA healthcare during a federal holiday
tips to connect to your VA healthcare during a federal holiday

Fort Harrison VA Emergency Room open during federal holidays, 24/7.

Dear Veteran,

This is a reminder that our Montana VA outpatient clinics and administrative offices will be closed for the Federal holiday on Monday, October 8 (Columbus Day).

The Fort Harrison VA Medical Center’s Emergency Department remains open 24/7, 365 days a week.

Outside of the Helena area, please dial 911 or visit the closest emergency department in a life-threatening emergency. For non-urgent, non-emergency matters, please consider communicating with your healthcare team via My HealtheVet Secure Messaging. You can manage prescription refills, schedule or cancel upcoming appointments, and access your healthcare records through My HealtheVet.

To use the Secure Messaging feature, you must have registered on My HealtheVet as a VA Patient and have a Premium account. Learn more about Upgrading to a Premium My HealtheVet Account.

If you do not have a My HealtheVet account, take time and Register Today. Do not forget to opt-in to receive email notifications for Secure Messaging.

Thank you for your service, and we are honored to serve you!

Sincerely,
Your Montana VA healthcare team
