Potential Government Shutdown

Johnson City , TN — There is a government shutdown looming; however, please keep in mind that all patient care services and appointments will continue as normal.

We are pleased to inform you that a government shutdown on Sept. 30, will not impact healthcare operations and patient care services at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

All patient care services and appointments will continue as normal. 

Veterans in need of urgent or emergent care should dial 911 or seek assistance at their local VA medical facility. This includes Veterans seeking care for mental health emergencies.

Additionally, Veterans should plan to keep all scheduled appointments. 

If you need to cancel your appointment, please call the central appointments line at 423-926-1171, extension 3472.

Veterans, family members, and caregivers may also manage appointments, request prescription refills, and send messages to their patient aligned care team via secure messaging at My HealtheVet

If you have an emergency and need immediate attention, please call 911 for assistance. Veterans experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 and press 1.
