VA Sunshine Healthcare Network Announced New Healthcare System Executive

Gainesville , FL — The Department of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Wende Dottor as the new executive director of the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System.
Dottor will oversee delivery of health care to more than 138,000 Veterans and an operating budget of more than $1.8 billion at the nation’s largest VA health care system. More than 5,800 employees provide services at 26 locations serving a 50-county region in northern Florida and southern Georgia.
“We are thrilled with the permanent appointment of Ms. Dottor,” said David Isaacks, Veterans Integrated Service Network Director (VISN) 8 Director. “Her proven leadership qualities and experience will continue to be an asset for the facility, the employees and volunteers, and most importantly, for the Veterans we are honored to serve.”
Ms. Dottor was designated Interim Executive Health System Director of the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SGVHS) effective October 12, 2022. Ms. Dottor served as the Deputy Executive Director at NF/SGVHS from 2016-2022. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Dottor served as Chief of Performance Improvement Service, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Revenue Coordinator.
Ms. Dottor earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in economics from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and a Masters in Health Administration from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
