Derek Jay Rodriguez, PharmD is a PGY2 psychiatric pharmacy resident at VA North Texas health care system.
Dr. Rodriguez was raised in Weslaco, Texas and attended The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Following this, he attended the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.
After receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2022, he completed his PGY1 at the El Paso VA Health Care System. Derek’s long-term goals include becoming a board-certified psychiatric pharmacist and to continue providing optimal mental health care to the nation’s veterans. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, hiking, and playing with his cats, Bellona and Nyx
