Unfortunately, due to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases, anyone coming to the VA should be aware we have other precautious in place: 

  • NAVAHCS is only authorizing visitation for End of Life to protect our inpatient Veterans.
  • All inpatient visits must be approved prior to arrival
  • Masks MUST be worn at all times
  • Please do not come on station unless you have a scheduled appointment, or you have an emergency
  • Please DO NOT come to the Emergency Department just for a COVID-19 test
    • If you have COVID-19 questions, start by calling the nurse advice line phone at 1-877-252-4866
      • They may assist with finding a testing site in your area if needed
    • Veterans can order 4 free at home COVID tests through the link: covidtests.gov
  • 1 caregiver can accompany a Veteran to their appointment
  • Nobody under the age of 18 is authorized entry
  • We are requesting that Veterans move their Face-to-Face routine appointments to a VA Virtual Care (VVC) appointment

Report patient care or safety issues

If you have any concerns about the care and safety of patients or residents, the first step is to contact hospital management. If management did not address or resolve your concerns, contact the Joint Commission.
