North OKC VA Clinic partial reopening after flood damage
PRESS RELEASE
May 28, 2024
Oklahoma City , OK — The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System is having a partial reopening of the North OKC VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
According to VA officials, effective Tuesday, May 28, 2024, Veterans that receive Primary Care, Laboratory Services and Veterans Express can now return to the North OKC VA CBOC.
Other specialty VA services such as, mental health, physical therapy and dentistry will remain at their current scheduled locations until the rest of flood remediation is completed. The remaining repairs to the building will be completed in two additional phases with an estimated timeline of 3-4 weeks and the final phase for dental services is estimated to be 2 months for the final repairs.
On 29 December 2023, a broken pipe valve caused significant flooding within the NOKC VA CBOC facility. The building owner was quickly notified of the damage, teams worked to remove equipment, insurance company brought in for assessments and vendors began to clean up the flood damage and start the repair process.
The OKC VA leadership will provide ongoing updates on the progress and the expected full reopening date of the North OKC CBOC. The OKC VA apologizes for any inconvenience this closure caused our Veterans. Updates will be posted to the OKC VA Facebook page and other social media websites.
If you have any questions about appointment locations, please reach out to the OKC VA team or clinic staff at 405-456-1000. The OKC VA wants to thank Veterans for trusting us with your healthcare needs.
