Orlando , FL — Orlando, Fla. — The Orlando VA Healthcare System's (OVAHCS) Connected Care program is hosting a My HealtheVet (MHV) 20th Anniversary Celebration and Outreach Event located in the East corridor near the Canteen at the Orlando VA Medical Center.

This will take place on Friday 11/3/2023, followed by a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Virtual Health Resource Center (VHRC).

Staff will be on hand from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to provide education about MHV, help Veterans register new MHV accounts, and upgrade to premium access.

The event will conclude with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Virtual Health Resource Center (VHRC) from 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the 1st floor of the Business Center, in room 1E402E.

The VHRC at the Orlando VA Medical Center is available to provide Veterans, their families caregivers, and VA staff, with education, training, information, guidance and access to virtual health tools and programs including My HealtheVet, VA Mobile, telehealth, web applications, and other VA tools and technologies.

“As we continue to integrate virtual health tools into Veteran care, it's important that we support them with assistance and services relating to that technology, to facilitate the ease and adoption of it and to increase access and quality of care,” said OVAHCS Connected Health Coordinator, Dustin Hamilton, Psy.D.

The VHRC Ribbon Cutting event is the official launch of the VHRC location at the Orlando VA Medical Center, announcing its functionality to the public and opening for Veterans and VA staff to receive virtual health support services.
