VA Pacific Islands Health Care System to Expand New VA Clinic in Guam

PRESS RELEASE

November 17, 2023

HONOLULU , HI — HONOLULU, HI— VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS) is working towards the completion of the Guam Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Annex which will be adjacent to the Guam Regional Medical Center at 133 Route 3, Dededo, GU 96929.

Dr. Adam M. Robinson, Jr., VAPIHCS Director is pleased to announce the award lease for the 5,000 square feet space, which will allow VAPIHCS to significantly expand care offered to Veterans in Guam. The VA Annex will feature primary care services, prosthetics, lab, and in-person mental health services.

“The new health care annex will significantly expand Veterans’ access to our services,” said Dr. Robinson. “It is our next step towards providing safe, compassionate, quality care to the men and women in Guam who have worn the cloth of our nation.”

Independent of the expansion of the Guam CBOC, VAPIHCS is also working to reach Veterans in other ways. Several “Community Call” events have been held in Guam, aimed to reach Veterans in their communities and provide vaccines, PACT Act enrollment, health screenings, and other important care. The significant investment of resources by VA has resulted in more than 4,700 health services and over 1,288 Veterans registered under the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxins (PACT) Act, expanding health care for Veterans.

VAPIHCS will continue to invest in the community in Guam in every possible way.
