The VA Providence Healthcare System recently hosted a blood drive that saw 51 donors step forward to contribute to this cause.

Thanks to their donations, an estimated 135 patients will receive the crucial blood products they need, reinforcing the impact one person can have on the lives of many.

The event, organized by VA Providence’s Jennifer Koziol in collaboration with the Rhode Island Blood Bank, underscored the ongoing need for blood donations and highlighted the community's commitment to supporting both Veterans and local healthcare facilities. Each donor's contribution can help up to three patients, illustrating the ripple effect that a single act of kindness can produce.

Blood drives like this are essential, especially during times when blood supplies often run low. VA Providence is proud to facilitate these opportunities for community members to make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants and encourage others to consider donating, as each contribution helps save lives.
