Laura Oiler, as the Deputy Associate Director of Patient Care Services at SORCC, brings a wealth of experience.

With over two decades of nursing expertise, Laura spent seventeen years in a California hospital, specializing in Critical Care, open-heart team, and informatics as a nurse educator for two hospitals. In this role, Laura developed programs to enhance patient care through technology. Transitioning to Oregon in 2020, she served as an instructor in the nursing program at OHSU and as the simulation coordinator. Laura's journey extended to the VA, where she initially joined as an RN Care Manager in PACT and currently holds the esteemed position of Deputy Associate Director of Patient Care Services.

Passionate about caring for Veterans, Laura comes from a family with a strong military connection, including her oldest son serving as an active-duty Air Force major and test pilot. Family and friends hold a special place in Laura's life, and she values quality time spent with loved ones.

Laura Oiler looks forward to connecting with each individual at SORCC, learning names, and hearing the unique stories of how everyone, joined the VA to contribute to the well-being of our esteemed Veterans.
