“I was the first person in my family to finish high school and continue higher education,” West said.

Despite a setback from an injury during his early years at West Point, West never wavered in his determination to pursue his goal. He became the first person in his family to graduate high school and went on to realize his dream of becoming a physician.

Beyond his professional commitments, West is a devoted family man with over twenty years of marriage and two wonderful children. His dedication to community service goes beyond his work at the VA hospital; he volunteers at the Good Samaritan Clinic, offering care to those in need and underserved populations. West's selflessness and dedication to giving back exemplify his values and character.

He is a skilled physician and a master of combat, teaching karate and Aikido to students seeking to develop discipline and self-defense skills. In addition, West's spiritual side is evident in his role as an ordained minister, where he provides guidance and support to those seeking spiritual nourishment and strength.

His unwavering commitment to serving those who have served their country is a testament to his sense of duty and honor. “I like to hold myself and my staff accountable when it comes to taking care of Veterans,” said West. “I want to make sure I give the best care to Veterans.”
