Tomah VA to Hold Annual Platoon Run Car and Motorcycle Show

Tomah , WI — TOMAH, Wisc. — The Tomah VA Medical Center will be holding our Annual Platoon Run – Car and Motorcycle Show on the Tomah VA campus Sunday, August 25th at 1:00pm.
Participants will start at the fairgrounds on the south side of Tomah, parade through town, and then proceed to the Tomah VA campus to park. The event will continue with the playing of the national anthem, military honors by Tomah VFW, and a moving performance of Taps.
“The Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE) has been coordinating and collaborating with Tomah VA Employee Association to continue this event each year”, said Jennifer Conzemius, Director of Tomah VA CDCE. Conzemius goes on to say, “The Tomah VA inpatients really enjoy this event coming back every year”.
Veterans and the community are invited to walk, roll, and take a closer look at the impressive cars and motorcycles. The festivities include LIVE music, our VA Employee Association will be selling root beer floats and food trucks will be a new addition to this years’ event. Tomah VA has selected Veterans who will serve as judges for the best car, best motorcycle, and overall best of show. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony at 2:30 pm.
