PACT Act Section 103

PRESS RELEASE

March 26, 2024

Grand Junction , CO — As you may have heard, VA just announced that all Veterans who were exposed to toxins and other hazards while serving our country at home or abroad.

Including all Veterans who served in the Vietnam War, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other combat zone after 9/11 – are now eligible for VA health care.

This historic expansion of health care comes after VA eliminated the phase-in approach to health care eligibility called for by the PACT Act – meaning that millions of Veterans are becoming eligible for VA health care up to eight years earlier than written into law.

Veterans can call the VA Health Care Hotline at 877-222-8387 or go to https://www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply/ to enroll in VA Health Care today.

This could mean life-changing care for Veterans, and we don’t want anyone to miss out. Are you interested in covering to help spread the word to Veterans? If so, happy to connect you with Stephanie McAntee, Public Affairs Officer, VA Western Colorado Health Care System (970-244-1324, stephanie.mcantee@va.gov) for an interview – or provide any more info you need.
