Wall of Honor Nominations being accepted for Southern New Jersey

Wilmington , DE — The Wilmington VA Medical Center is currently looking for Wall of Honor nominations.

The Wall of Honor is to recognize a deceased Veteran who made a significant contribution in their community or during their military service. A panel made of Veteran community partners will select a nominee in each county to be recognized and displayed at each VA clinic in Cumberland, Atlantic, and Cape May County.

The Wall of Honor will be a designated place in each VA clinic that features distinguished Veterans who lived or were born in the Wilmington VA Medical Center catchment areas, have received or were eligible for VA health care and must be deceased to be considered. He or she may also be a recipient of the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, Air Force Cross, Silver Star, Distinguished Service, or Lifetime Achievements to include – personal, military, or civic duty.

If you are interested in nominating a Veteran, please email the completed application to pao.wilmington@va.gov. Applications are due April 5, 2024, and selections will be revealed in May 2024.
