Matthew previously served as Vice President of Patient Care & Chief Nursing Officer at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Dr. Morris received his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing. He holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Services Leadership and Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Matt is board certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and Certified in Executive Nursing Practice through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. Matt is a Board Member for the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, the national advocate for the over 1,100 associate degree nursing programs across the country and was recently appointed to the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration Board beginning January 2024 as the Healthcare Executive Board Appointee. Matt has presented regionally and nationally on multiple topics of executive nursing practice and published Development and Evaluation of a Nurse Leadership Succession Planning Strategy in an Academic Medical Center in The Journal of Nursing Administration in 2020. Matt is married with two sons.
