VA Boston Hosts Veterans Expo at Brockton Campus

BOSTON , MA — VA Boston Healthcare System will host the annual Veterans Expo, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at the Brockton campus, 940 Belmont St., Brockton, Mass.
The event will be a fun-filled day of live music, free food, pony rides and other activities for kids, as well as Veteran health and wellness resources, Veteran benefits information, and a job fair!
Along with several Veterans service organizations and a number of employers looking to recruit Veterans, VA staff will be on site, ready to help Veterans apply for benefits, enroll in VA health care and arrange toxic exposure screenings.
The event will also feature remarks by Secretary Jon Santiago, Mass. Executive Office of Veterans Services, and Vincent Ng, director of VA Boston Healthcare System.
Veterans who deployed to a combat zone, never enrolled in VA health care, and left active duty between Sept. 11, 2001 and Oct. 1, 2013, are eligible to enroll directly in VA health care until Sept. 30, 2023.
"This event is an excellent opportunity for Veterans in our area who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and other combat zones to enroll directly in VA health care, without first applying for VA benefits," said Ng.
