Aleda E. Lutz VAMC and all Clinic Locations Administering the Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines

Now it’s time to protect and defend yourself and your loved ones against the flu. Did you know anyone can get the flu? Studies show that getting a flu shot can reduce illness and death from flu. Get a flu shot and practice healthy habits like getting enough sleep and exercise, eating a balanced diet, and drinking plenty of fluids to stay healthy.
The Aleda E. Lutz VAMC is offering the flu vaccine in addition to COVID-19 vaccines at our medical center and outpatient clinics. Veterans can receive the vaccines at our walk-in clinic, located in the lobby of the medical center, at 1500 Weiss St., Saginaw, MI 48602, Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Flu vaccines are now available at no cost to eligible Veterans at more than 70,000 in-network community providers nationwide. To be eligible, Veterans must be enrolled in the VA health care system and received care through VA from either a VA or community provider within the past 24 months (the second requirement is new for the 2023-2024 flu season).
To check their eligibility, Veterans can call 800-MyVA411 (800-698-2411) select option 1, then option 3, and then select option 1 again or contact their local VA medical facility. Veterans can follow these steps to find an in-network provider or call (877)-881-7618 or their local VA medical facility for help locating an in-network provider.
