HERS - Women Veterans and Homelessness

May 4, 2016

On May 4, 2016, the National Center on Homelessness among Veterans (the Center) and VA Women's Health Services hosted a virtual research symposium, the third of the HERS Roundtable Series, to discuss women Veterans and homelessness and share evidence-based research relevant to serving special populations among homeless Veterans. Services on a local level to these special populations are often provided with limited information. This webinar addressed a knowledge gap by having national subject matter experts offer the latest relevant information for these special populations. The live webinar provided the National Center and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Homeless Programs staff with knowledge and skills they need to determine population projections characteristics and needs, identify barriers and challenges, and also incorporate evidence-based approaches of care to support and house women Veterans who are homeless or at risk for homelessness. To view the presentations for this Roundtable and the archived webinar with audio, please see the link provided below.
