VHA Policy & Planning
The Office of the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary for Health (ADUSH) for Policy and Planning supports the offices of the Under Secretary for Health, Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Health and the Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Policy and Services as an advisor on the development, implementation, and impact of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policy, strategic planning, and forecasting.
The Office is comprised of three major program units:
- The Office of Policy Analysis and Forecasting (OPAF) provides decision makers with insightful accurate data and analyses to support VHA strategic and capital planning, policy, and budget decisions.
- The Office of Rural Health (ORH) works together with other VA Program Offices, Federal, state and local partners to optimize the use of available and emerging technologies, establish new access points to care, and employ strategies to increase health care options for all rural Veterans.
- The Office of Strategic Planning and Analysis (OSPA) advances Veteran health care by providing high quality data and analyses to facilitate strategic planning and decision making across VA.
