What is the Geriatric Scholars Program?
It is a VA program that provides continuing education and professional development on geriatric topics. Formats include: intensive educational courses, clinical practicum training experiences, on-going coaching and mentoring opportunities and choices among self-directed learning activities.
The goal of the VA Geriatric Scholars Program is to integrate geriatrics into primary care practices through tailored education for professional development. This helps VA provide quality care to our aging Veterans.
