Being prepared and ready to respond to any and all hazards requires the ability to maintain situational awareness. The VHA Watch program does just that.
VHA Watch Morning Report branding

The VHA Watch staff constantly scans for information that may impact health care services to Veterans, as well as any other events that may have impact on the overall health and function of the United States of America. VHA Watch provides 24/7/365 threat assessments and daily operational situational awareness to VHA leadership.

During emergencies, emergency response information is delivered to inform leadership and aid operational decision making to support VISN and effected VHA healthcare facilities.

OEM's VHA Watch program provides daily intelligence and emergency briefs to VHA Central Office and designated field staff for maximum transparency and preparedness. Daily briefs include critical information requirements as well as essential elements of information.

  • Critical Information Requirements: Comprehensive list of information requirements identified by leadership as being critical in facilitating timely information management and the decision-making process that affect successful mission accomplishment.
  • Essential Elements of Information: Vital and detailed information that leadership requires for decision making.
