Patient in Dental ChairVeterans Dental Eligibility

Eligibility and benefits for Veteran Dental Care are limited by law and categorized into VA dental classifications or classes. To learn if you are eligible for VA Dental Care, click on the Dental Benefits for Veterans link (this is a printable document). To find out if you are eligible for VA Health Care, click on the Veterans Health Benefits Home page link:

If eligible, you can apply online by clicking this link: VA Form 10-10EZ, the fastest and easiest way to apply for VA Dental Care!

Not Eligible for Dental Care?

If you are not eligible for VA Dental Care, the VA is implementing a comprehensive national VA Dental Insurance Program (VADIP) to give enrolled Veterans and CHAMPVA beneficiaries the opportunity to purchase dental insurance through Delta Dental and MetLife at a reduced cost. Participation is voluntary and purchasing a dental plan does not affect Veterans current eligibility for VA dental services and treatment.

Did You Know?

...VA sponsors more advanced dental residency training positions than any other organization? In fact, nearly half of all dentists in post graduate education programs rotate through local VA medical centers, taking advantage of the special knowledge and skills that VA staff attending dentists and physicians possess.
