Background
DEAN was established in response to evolving healthcare needs and governmental directives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Federal Government's approach to Veteran care. We are built on a foundation of key legislation and policy, including Title 38 U.S.C. § 7302, the OMB Executive Order M-17-22, and the guiding principles of the VA MISSION Act of 2018, among others. These legal and policy frameworks shape our operational strategies and ensure our alignment with national goals for Veteran healthcare.
