VHA National Desktop Library

The VHA National Desktop Library is VALNET's digital medical and health sciences library for VA staff. It provides full-text access to licensed clinical textbooks, journals, databases, and other resources that support care delivery, education, research and operations VA-wide. This site is for VA staff and other authorized users, and most resources require VA network or VPN access.

Veteran Health Information

Resources on this site are not designed for patient or public use. Veterans, family members, and caregivers seeking health information should use the Veterans Health Library and related patient education resources, which are written and organized for Veteran use.

AI-Enabled Library Tools

Some library platforms and databases now offer AI-enabled features to help staff discover, summarize, and navigate trusted content. VALNET will continue to connect staff to these tools in alignment with VA's broader approach to artificial intelligence and responsible use of emerging technologies.
