Meet the Host

hostLauren Korshak is a Health System Specialist with the Office of Health Equity (OHE). She leads OHE’s translation efforts, including hosting a Cyber seminar series, monthly information brief series, and collaborating with colleagues across VA to share how VA is working to reduce and eliminate health disparities for Veterans.

Lauren holds a bachelor's and master's degree from George Washington University's Milken Institute School of Public Health, where she is a teaching faculty member. She also holds teaching privileges at the University of Maryland.

She explores and has published on the relationship between chronic disease, exercise capacity, and mortality and the role moral injury plays in engagement in healthy lifestyle behaviors and chronic disease risk. Lauren has been interviewed by television news and radio channels regarding the importance of engaging in healthy behaviors.
