The Office of Acquisition and Logistics (OAL) Human Resources Office is an OAL staff office that supports the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary and other OAL organizational entities by providing expertise and guidance in the following cross-functional areas:  human resources management, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), workforce planning, training administration, purchase and travel card management, business planning, performance management, and emergency and continuity of operations planning.  Management Support Office staff are located in the VA Central Office and in Hines, Illinois.

It is OAL’s policy to ensure that all OAL employees are given the requisite training to effectively perform their jobs, enhance career development opportunities, and serve our customers, consistent with the evolving needs of the organization and resources available.  Training opportunities offered to employees will focus on strengthening the skills required to achieve OAL mission requirements.  Such training will improve performance of present duties in an effective, efficient, and increasingly productive manner and will meet the changing needs of OAL as duties, technology, and other requirements evolve.
