Training and Professional Development

VA Acquisition Academy » An industry leader in training and development for the Federal Acquisition workforce through our five professional schools.

Acquisition Internship » Develops future generations of trusted business advisors in contracting for the VA.  The school’s Warriors to Workforce Intern Program is designed to prepare severely wounded Veterans for a successful transition into a career as a contract specialist.

Acquisition/Contracting Professional » Provides core courses necessary to obtain the Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Levels I, II, and III.

Facilities Management » Provides the VA Acquisition workforce with the courses necessary to demonstrate the core facilities management competencies outlined in Public Law 111-308.

Project/Program Management » Provides training necessary to certify all federal government program and project managers.  The school’s PM Fellows Program provides participants with a unique professional development opportunity that brings them quickly through entry and mid-level FAC P/PM certification standards.  The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) Certification provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to properly execute the COR responsibilities such as acquisition planning, market research, and contract performance management.
