Verification Application Document Upload

In order to process an application, the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) requires Veteran business owners to upload business and financial documents.  These documents must be in a particular format.

CVE accepts documents in the following formats:

  • Portable Document Format (.pdf)
  • Microsoft Word Document (.doc)
  • Tagged File Format (.tiff, .tif)
  • JPEG (.jpg)
  • Graphics Interchange Format (.gif)

CVE cannot accept documents via email.  They must be uploaded to the secure VA server by the Veteran owner.

Documents also cannot exceed 5 MB; any files exceeding this storage limit will not upload properly and cause Verification processing time to extend.

If files are too large, CVE suggests the following methods to decrease file size and make sure documents are uploaded correctly.

  1. Reduce File Size in Adobe Acrobat
  2. Use SmallPDF.com
  3. Reduce File Size in Acrobat with PDF Optimizer
