Advanced Fellowships

Advanced Fellowship programs offer post-residency, post-doctoral, and post-masters fellowships to physicians and dentists, and associated health professions, including psychologists, social workers and pharmacists. Through hands-on, mentored educational experiences, trainees develop skills in specific clinical areas and gain experience in policy development, system redesign and research methodology. Advanced Fellowship programs are available for clinical and non-clinical health care professions.

Application Guidance

While exploring the available fellowships, interested applicants should carefully review the program announcement for specific information about program eligibility. Interested candidates are encouraged to send a cover letter and curriculum vitae to the local fellowship site. Applications are processed at the local level, and the Office of Academic Affiliations (OAA) provides final approval.

Physician applicants must have completed U.S. residency training and be board certified or board eligible with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States Some programs allow physicians who are not U.S. citizens with appropriate visa/residency status to participate if no qualified U.S. citizen has applied. Professionals from fields other than medicine must be U.S. citizens.
