What's Changed?

Notification of VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) Update Number 2008-26 to Incorporate Revisions to VAAR parts 803, 819, 827, 847 and 849

Purpose: To announce to the VA Acquisition Workforce that the VAAR shown on the Office of Acquisition and Logistics website has been updated to incorporate text revisions made in Class Deviation from VA Acquisition Regulation Parts 803, 819, 827, 847 and 849 Regarding Certified Mail Receipt Requested and Mail Requirements, dated September 28, 2020.

VAAR Parts Impacted: VAAR parts 803, 819, 827, 847, and 849.

Effective Date: Immediately.

Background: In order to enhance department-level guidance for all VA acquisitions, the VA Acquisition Workforce requested updates to the VAAR that would incorporate all deviations into the applicable VAAR part. As a continuing result, an update has been issued that contains revisions approved via a VAAR class deviation for parts 803, 819, 827, 847, and 849.

Applicability: This notification is directed to the VA acquisition workforce.

Action Required: Incorporate VAAR Update Number 2008-26.
