WRIISC-HOME Webinar Series

WRIISC podcast collage

The War Related Injury & Illness Study Center (WRIISC), in conjunction with the newly named VA Health Outcomes Military Exposures (HOME) office, has created a comprehensive curriculum with content focused on Veteran health concerns, many of which may be related to their deployments or those called garrison exposures. The WRIISC-HOME webinar series was created to support provider directed education for Veterans with health concerns related to potentially toxic exposures, post-deployment. WRIISC’s unique national program’s dedication to Veterans post-deployment and exposure health concerns and unique health care needs addresses knowledge gaps by offering community providers information and tools to provide high quality care for Veteran patients.

These webinars reflect current best practices, science and policies. They are categorized into clinical specialty areas, and provide introductory, intermediate and advanced level training to increase learning. The areas covered include, exposure related topic, airborne hazards, chronic multi-symptom illness; gulf war illness; integrative and functional medicine; cognitive and psychosocial health; and special topics. Live and recorded webinar sessions can be accessed here.
