VHA Army-Baylor University Graduate Program

Each year VHA selects several current employees to attend the Army-Baylor University’s Graduate Program in Health and Business Administration located on Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Army-Baylor Masters of Health Administration (MHA) and MHA/Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programs are top ranked, nationally accredited programs that consists of one year in the classroom at the university and another year in residence at the employee’s VA medical facility.  Upon completion, participants are granted a MHA or dual degree MHA/MBA from Baylor University and are prepared to take on advanced leadership roles in VHA.

Through this program, VHA medical facilities have the opportunity to improve the performance of their mid/senior-level management staff and provide mentorship.

VHA’s Army-Baylor program is administered by the VA’s Graduate Healthcare Administration Training Program (GHATP) program manager and is overseen by the GHATP Board.
