The Healthcare Leadership Talent Institute (HLTI) is accepting applications for the VHA Health Care Leadership Development Program (HCLDP) Class of 2023 from March 23 – April 13, 2022 at 5 p.m. ET. The Class of 2023 runs from October 2022 – September 2023.
HCLDP is a hands-on leadership program that specifically targets high-potential management professionals who aspire to lead in VHA facility executive health care leadership positions in the next three years. These positions include: medical center associate director, assistant director, associate director for patient care services, deputy associate director for patient care services, chief of staff, and deputy chief of staff.
The program is open to individuals in grades GS 13-15; physician Tiers 2 and 3; physician assistant (PA3, PA4, and PA5); Nurse III in a management role; and Nurse IV or V, who do not currently hold an executive health care leadership position at the facility, with the drive to improve VHA’s service to Veterans.
HCLDP consists of three, week-long training sessions spread over the course of a year each focused on personal leadership, leadership agility/leading others, and organizational leadership.
