The Long-COVID webinar series continues Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. ET with a presentation by Dr. Michael Edelstein from Bar-Ilan University in Israel. His topic will be, "Impact of COVID-19 Vaccines on Long-COVID Related Changes in Quality of Life: Lessons from Israel."

The Long-COVID webinar series continues Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. ET with a presentation by Dr. Michael Edelstein from Bar-Ilan University in Israel. His topic will be, "Impact of COVID-19 Vaccines on Long-COVID Related Changes in Quality of Life: Lessons from Israel."

Prof. Edelstein is a public health MD who specializes in infectious diseases and vaccine epidemiology. His career spans academia and national, as well as international public health service in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He is currently associate professor of population health at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar-Ilan University in Israel, where he focuses on vaccination equity for COVID-19 and other vaccine programs in the multi-ethnic population of Northern Israel.

Professor Edelstein previously worked as a senior medical epidemiologist at Public Health England (now UK Health Security Agency). He was also a global health policy researcher at the Chatham House Centre on Global health Security and has served as a technical expert with the World Health Organization on a range of vaccine-related issues. He is also deputy editor of the journal Epidemiology and Infection, and he has over 80 peer-reviewed publications.
