2023 Senior Leader Summit
In June 2023, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) held a Senior Leader Summit. This meeting consisted of VHA leadership from across the country, including directors and Central Office leaders.
In June 2023, VHA held a Senior Leader Summit co-hosted by the Institute for Learning, Education and Development and VAH Chief Strategy Office.
This meeting consisted of over 320 senior leaders from across the country, including medical center directors, network directors and Central Office leaders. This meeting was the first Senior Leader Summit in five years and provided an opportunity for VA leaders to share best practices and work toward providing standardized care and even more benefits to more Veterans.
Attendees were able to network, attend breakout sessions and hear from Veterans, Veteran service organizations and congressional staffers. The Senior Leader Summit gave leaders the opportunity to hear from VA Secretary Denis McDonough and Under Secretary for Health Dr. Shereef Elnahal on taking the opportunity to learn from each other in order to improve access, quality and the Veteran experience.
