The Healthcare Leadership Talent Institute’s (HLTI) recently announced the 400 selectees for the Supervisor Ready Class of 2022. The 2022 class was chosen from a large pool of over 1,300 candidates.

It is the Healthcare Leadership Talent Institute’s (HLTI) pleasure to officially announce the 400 selectees for the Supervisor Ready Class of 2022. 

The 2022 class was chosen from a large pool of qualified candidates using a rigorous application and merit selection process. Over 1,300 highly qualified VA employees applied and competed for the honor of being one of the 400 selectees chosen to be part of this year’s two classes. Sessions 1 will be held March to June 2022 and Session 2 from August to November 2022.

Supervisor Ready is a new VHA-wide leadership development program that targets non-supervisory Emerging Leaders and Team Leaders aspiring to be a supervisor in a healthcare setting. The program is conducted entirely online over the course of three months.

Supervisor Ready prepares a new cadre of potential supervisors to meet the challenges of a 21st century VHA. Participants will learn fundamental competencies and concepts of the supervisor dynamic in a healthcare setting, specifically; accountability, decisiveness, political savvy, resilience, strategic thinking and technical credibility. Participants will also learn key principles of servant and ethical leadership.
