The Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Advisory Committee on Women Veterans met on May 17-19, 2016, at VA Central Office, in Washington, DC.  The meeting included:  briefings on the Federal Advisory Committee Act, ethics, iGIANT; eating and weight related disorders among women Veterans; updates on various VA initiatives; and Committee work on recommendations for the Committee’s 2016 biennial report.

The ACWV was established in 1983 and is responsible for assessing the needs of women Veterans with respect to VA programs, reviewing these, making recommendations to the Secretary, and following up.  Learn more and access various reports generated by the Committee »
