Julie Daughety, a Navy Veteran, found that a daily mindfulness practice greatly lessened her stress level. As she describes in this video, she used the power of her mind to improve her mood, which helped to improve relationships with family members. “It's the first time in my life, I just embraced being able to really look inward, and control my breath, and reduce a lot of stress that I've lived with for decades.”

Your mind affects your body, and your body affects your mind. This relationship between our mind and body can improve our health or make it worse. Mood and thinking patterns can either positively or negatively impact our health and well-being.  To find out more about the power of your mind and how mindfulness can help your well-being, see the resources here.  If you haven’t yet begun your Whole Health journey, get started here.
