Claims Status
Community providers can check the status of their claims online through the VA Electronic Claims Adjudication and Management System (eCAMS) Provider Portal or the appropriate Third-Party Administrator (TPA) portal.
These tools provide fast, secure access to real-time claim details and payment information.
NOTE: Starting January 2026, VA Electronic Claims Adjudication and Management System (eCAMS) will transition to paperless explanation of payment (EOP) documents. This change applies to all claims submitted to VA by paper and electronically to payer IDs 12115, 12116 and VAFSC.
You may request to continue receiving paper EOPs by emailing the eCAMS HD Support team. The email must include the provider’s National Provider Identifier (NPI), a VA claim number (TCN) associated with the provider, and the provider’s phone number and email address.
If you file a claim with VA directly for Veteran care
You can view claims information through the eCAMS Provider Portal or the 835 electronic transaction.
What is eCAMS Provider Portal (ePP)?
The ePP is a secure, web-based tool that gives registered users access to:
- Real-time claim status updates
- Line-level adjudication details
- Electronic remittance reports
- Check or direct deposit information
- Explanation of Payment (EOP) documents
- Bill of collection and offset actions
If You File a Claim with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA)
Use the TPA portal based on where your claim was filed:
